Are you confused about the correct operation of the lab 09-type centrifugal concentrator? Laboratory mineral processing test occupies a key position in the entire scientific research and production process, and the centrifugal concentrator is an indispensable and important equipment. Its operating status directly affects the experimental results and safety. An incorrect speed setting or improper sample loading may lead to data deviation or even dangers such as rotor bursting. The lab 09-type centrifugal concentrator to be introduced today is a leader in this field. However, before turning on its efficient working mode, a must-read guide before operation is particularly important.
The lab 09-type centrifugal concentrator is the core gravity separator of mineral separation experiments, suitable for high-precision separation of gold ores. Learn about the equipment overview and emphasize the importance of pre-operation preparation, including working principle, parameters, preparation before operation, and equipment startup, etc. Help you fully understand and correctly use the centrifugal concentrator to ensure efficient and safe mineral processing.
What is the Laboratory 09-Type Centrifugal Concentrator?
The 09 type centrifugal concentrator is an improvement of our company based on the reference design of the Nelson experimental centrifugal concentrator. At the same time, in the past use process, we learned that the number of samples taken by users in the initial exploration of the mine site and the equipment selection demonstration is generally small or the equipment volume and total amount are too large, which is not convenient to carry and move. This results in the actual situation that the number of samples taken by users is large and the equipment transportation cost is high.

This 09-type centrifugal concentrator, developed specifically for laboratory mineral separation tests, far exceeds traditional models in terms of accuracy and efficiency. Compared with ordinary centrifuges, the 09-type uses a special alloy rotor design that can withstand the centrifugal force caused by higher speeds while ensuring the absolute sealing of the sample container. Equipped with an intelligent control system, it can achieve precise speed regulation.
Application of Lab 09-type centrifugal concentrator
Lab 09-type centrifugal concentrator is mainly used to simulate the separation effect of industrial centrifugal concentrator conditions and provide data support for industrial concentrators to verify the optimization of process parameters. It’s often used in geological exploration, mineral processing research, environmental recycling, teaching experiments and other industries. It’s widely used for efficient separation of fine-particle minerals, especially for the precise enrichment and purification of precious and rare metal ores such as gold, tungsten and tin ores.
working principle
The equipment is driven by a motor through a belt drive to rotate the shaft, making the inner sleeve rotate at a high speed. The ore slurry is fed into the inner sleeve through the feed pipe. Under the action of centrifugal force, the sorting process is strengthened. The heavy minerals stay in the inner sleeve. After the machine stops, the concentrate is discharged from the ore discharge port.

Preparation before lab 09-Type centrifugal concentrator operation
1. Installation environment requirements
Site space: The 09 type centrifugal concentrator requires sufficient site space for installation and operation. Generally speaking, at least 1 meter of space is reserved around the equipment for easy operation, inspection and maintenance. Avoid placing it too close to precision instruments to prevent interference from operating vibrations.
Ground flatness: The ground where the equipment is installed must be kept flat, and its level error should be controlled within a very small range. Unevenness will cause large vibrations during equipment operation, affecting the ore dressing effect and equipment life. It is best to use a level meter to measure and adjust before installation.
Ventilation conditions: The lab centrifugal concentrator may generate heat and harmful gases during operation. If the ventilation is poor, it will cause the equipment to overheat, affecting its service life and endangering the health of the operator. The installation site should be equipped with ventilation equipment.
2. Equipment inspection
Appearance integrity inspection: Carefully check the appearance of the equipment for scratches, cracks or deformations, and ensure that the outer shell is well sealed to prevent dust and debris from entering. If there is any damage, contact the supplier in time for processing.
Whether the connection of each component is firm: Comprehensively check the connection of components, such as whether the bolts and nuts are tightened and whether the belt tension is appropriate. Loose connections can cause parts to shift and cause failures, so tighten them in time.
Lubrication check: Check the lubrication parts of the equipment to ensure that the amount and quality of the lubricant meet the requirements.
3. Preparation of supporting materials and tools
Testing instruments: Prepare particle size analyzers, moisture meters, and other testing instruments, calibrate them before use, and use them to accurately understand the material properties so as to adjust the centrifugal concentrator operating parameters.
Cleaning tools: Equipped with brushes, vacuum cleaners and other cleaning tools for daily cleaning and maintenance of the equipment. Regular cleaning can prevent material residue and dust accumulation, and the tools should be placed in a fixed place.

How to operate a lab 09-type centrifugal concentrator?
1-Preparation and Inspection before Startup
(1) Make preparations and inspections for the motor before use according to the requirements of the motor’s operation.
(2) Check whether the equipment’s foundation feet are stable.
(3) Check the tightness of the V-belt and adjust it appropriately.
(4) Check whether there is any interference with the moving parts of the equipment and conduct a manual turning inspection.
2-Equipment Startup
After completing the above four items of preparation and inspection work, connect the power supply and press the start button on the control cabinet panel to start the motor.
3-Water Supply and Ore Feeding of the Equipment
After the lab centrifugal concentrator enters normal operation, open the backflushing valve to supply water, and then feed the ore slurry prepared according to the required liquid-solid ratio. Control the backflushing water pressure according to the actual situation and control the rotating drum speed through the knob on the control box.
4-Ore Sampling from the Equipment
After the ore sample experiment is completed, first close the backflushing water valve and then turn off the motor. After the equipment has completely stopped, open the upper cover, unscrew the rotating drum panel clockwise (fix the pulley). After the rotating drum panel is separated from the rotating drum, take out the rotating core containing the concentrate and then flush out the concentrate. To reinstall the equipment after taking out the concentrate, just follow the above steps in reverse order!
