This infrared-controlled platinum melting furnace is an induction heating device equipped with an infrared thermometer for precise control of the metal melting process. It is used for melting precious metals such as platinum and gold, and is suitable for jewelry making, industrial refining, or laboratory applications.
Introduction of Infrared-Controlled Platinum Melting Furnace
The infrared control platinum melting furnace is a specialized piece of equipment designed for the precise melting and temperature control of precious metals, including platinum, gold, and palladium. Unlike traditional crucible melting machines, this equipment integrates advanced heating elements (such as electromagnetic induction heating technology) and an infrared pyrometer for non-contact temperature measurement. It is commonly used in jewelry making (ring and necklace casting), precious metal recycling, dental alloy fabrication, and laboratory research. Furthermore, because this platinum melter can maintain a stable temperature for extended periods, it is also used in metallurgical experiments in research laboratories and educational institutions. The infrared thermometer eliminates guesswork, making operation safer for beginners and more efficient for professionals.
JXSC infrared-control platinum melting furnace uses closed-loop temperature control, rapidly melting platinum within 2-3 minutes. Furthermore, reduced oxidation results in a higher yield. Its infrared sensor calibration does not require disassembly of the furnace body, and the overall structure is compact, balancing functionality and space utilization. It primarily serves industries with extremely high requirements for precision, safety, and repeatability in metal smelting, such as investment casting or high-purity refining. It is also an ideal high-precision melting equipment for platinum group metals (PGMs) such as platinum and palladium.
Principle of Infrared-Controlled Platinum Melting Furnace
Working principle
The platinum melting machine employs a multi-stage heating process, combining conduction, convection, and radiation heating to achieve optimal melting results. Its working principle involves using thermocouples or infrared sensors to measure the surface temperature in real time and transmitting the data to a digital controller. The controller adjusts the power output to maintain the desired melting point. The infrared temperature measurement function monitors the melting temperature in real time to prevent overheating or the introduction of impurities.
Upon power is supplied, this platinum melting furnace generates an alternating electromagnetic field through a high-frequency induction coil, creating eddy currents within the platinum and other metals, rapidly heating them to a molten state (up to 1600℃). Simultaneously, an infrared thermometer emits an infrared beam, detecting the surface temperature without physical contact and achieving ±1℃ temperature control accuracy. The temperature signal is transmitted to a PLC control panel. Once the platinum reaches its liquidus temperature, the molten metal can be poured into molds or alloyed with other metals. This system balances efficient melting with precise temperature control.
